Webinar: Does Social Media Sell Cars?

{ 4 }

After hosting my first ever Webinar with Kijiji Autos, I am officially hooked on using this platform to share content.  I have attended dozens of Webinars over the last few years and am excited to finally be in the game.  You can view the slides from the debut here: Writing Ads for Classified Sites that Work!

We had over 70 car dealers across Canada and the U.S.A. tune in for the first edition!  This really inspired me to keep cranking out content and working with other industry pros to make sure Canadian Car Dealers were on top of their game.  I’m expecting those numbers to double after the feedback I received from the attendees.

Special thanks to Lewis Howes for putting out the Ultimate Webinar Marketing guide which was a fantastic crash course.  I learned some great tips and tricks on using the Go To Webinar software in this E-Book.

I asked dealers what topics they would be interested in learning more about.  Social Media for Car Dealers was top of the list, so I figured we should start there.

One of  my favorite industry professionals Paul Potratz is a thought leader on the topic, so I reached out to see if he would be interested in sharing some of his findings.  Paul jumped at the chance and promised to create some powerful content that dealers can implement immediately after watching this.

The great thing about Kijiji Autos is they are committed to FREE EDUCATION for Canadian Car Dealers.  This will NOT be a product pitch disguised as a  ”workshop”…….. it’s just not how we roll!

Expect to see a variety of of great topics in this series of Webinars that I will be hosting.

    I would say social media does help sell cars, but you have to be careful, very careful. There is an art to creating social media outlets and attracting consumers that way. It’s always good to consult with a marketing expert before you venture out into the social media sphere. There are good and bad ways to do it. Learn before you try and it will help!

    I agree Jason. That’s why I think it’s great Kijiji Autos and Ryan are putting on these webinars. Being that the medium is so new, the world of social media changes incredibly fast. By attending webinars and making it a habit of researching best practices, companies can stay on top of the trends and tactics. However, you’re right Jason, one should take great care when entering the social space.

    @Sean/Jason – Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Sean I think webinars are the easiest (and cost effective)way dealers can stay in tune with what is new and exciting.

    The game is changing fast. Blogs like this and DealerRefresh are a dealers best chance of keeping up.

    I plan on doing a monthly webinar. Do not forget to subscribe for updates so you do not miss the next one…or 10!

    When dealers are entering into the social media sphere – it can’t be about blatant self promotion. In my experience, it’s simply repulsing to people (ex. twitter followers) when dealers are all about putting the latest model info and the deal that’s coming up that weekend lambasted all over their feed. Dealers need to see it as a means of getting their specific dealership’s “Mojo culture” out there so people can jump on board.

    One dealership that comes to mind is Achilles Mazda – all over Twitter with relevant content.
